In April 2018 our Founder Philippa will have been in Mexico for 16 years, working with vulnerable and disadvantaged children. We are all immensely proud of our successes, with particular reference to the sustainability of our work, which continues to have considerable impact across the communities we have been working with. The journey from our early New Life Mexico days, working with street children, to our wider New Lifeline community projects, has been truly remarkable.
With this success in mind the Trustees decided to wind down New Lifeline’s activities in 2018; as minuted in their Extra Ordinary Meeting on the 21st December 2017. All remaining funding was distributed to New Lifeline Projects and operations ceased on 30th June 2018, thus satisfying all debts of the charity, and disposing of any remaining charity assets appropriately.
We are delighted to confirm that our partner-foundations, currently supporting New Lifeline projects, intend to continue funding the local New Lifeline charity organisations that we have in Mexico and Guatemala.
All those involved with New Lifeline would like to thank you sincerely for your generosity and commitment. Without donors, such as yourselves, we would not have had so many wonderful achievements. On behalf of all the children “Mil Gracias” (a thousand thank yous). Our heartfelt gratitude to those of you who supported us over the years. As the saying goes “it takes a village to raise a child”, your financial support enable New Lifeline to raise those children. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
